A Day Like Today (for my son)

(I wrote this back in May, 2010)


A day like today, almost 17 years ago, I was only 19 years old. I was about to become a mother for the first time, a single, unwed mother.




A day like today, I was experiencing contractions and had been for several days but I had no idea; I just knew that I was feeling major discomfort.

Live like you're dying

Although the movie, The Time Traveler's Wife, is a little too weird for my taste, I can still see a good message in there somewhere. The whole time traveling idea is not all that realistic to me. However, for me, the movie is a reminder of how we should appreciate every second of life and appreciate the people in our lives.
